“Persona | Models at Home”
Hadley Hudson in conversation with Nadine Barth (Consulting Editor for Photography Art Books)

About the project's book
Far from glamor, parties, the photo studio, or the catwalk, the artist and fashion photographer Hadley Hudson has been photographing models inside their own rooms since 2008. The portraits, taken in private situations, provide intimate looks into the lives of teenagers and deconstruct the fashion world’s perfect surface. Persona is now the artist’s first book to collect the eighty most powerful photographs from this series.

About the artist
Hadley Hudson studied art at the University of California in Los Angeles with Paul McCarthy and Chis Williams, as well as at Parsons School of Design in Paris. Her trademark is a combination of eroticism and punk, and she used it to make a name for herself as a photographer of famous musicians. The works of the artist, who has residences in Berlin and New York, have been exhibited in Paris (Colette), Hamburg (Deichtorhallen), and Berlin (Camera Work & pavlov’s dog); her editorials have been published in magazines such as 032c, Rolling Stone, and Vogue. Hudson has been nominated for several LEAD Awards.
